Summarit 5cm Photos

Love the Summarit. Mine is LTM, cleaned by Sherry. I had a chance to compare, a friend has an M version and they are basically identical. Hard to tell them apart really.

Just got my Summarit from 1953 back from service; internal haze was cleared, but the front element has lots of fine marks... So i took the lens with me for a few shots on my current trip. Here are the first results, all taken with an M8 at Iso 160 + lens wide open:

Thanks Helen !! :)

Looking forward to the new work of the "Queen of the 50mm focal length" !! :);)

For me, there's nothing to dislike about Summarit. I love the glow and I love the swirl, but I can understand that if it's your only 50mm, you'll find it limiting in some circumstances, but since I only have 50mm lenses, I've tried to combine different flavors of them and the Summarit compliments the Summilux ASPH. and noct. very well i think.

Another nice one would be the Nikkor S.C. 50mm F/1.4, but that's even harder to find in good condition.

I was hooked after I saw pictures of a friend taken with the Summarit, just ordered mine yesterday after looking around for what felt like ages, hope I'm lucky with the glass and everything.
