The original 35/3.5 screwmount Summaron is a nice little lens; very small, sharp (it's not far off the Summicron 50 DR in the centre, although the edges never quite get sharp) but certainly not contrasty. Mine probably needs a clean out as there is a fair bit of dust in there, but the early coating technology is probably mostly to blame. It is a cheap option though and is very well built.
This shot was actually taken a few months ago with my old IIIa, but now the lens has an adapter for the M bodies.

Well, I think this Canon 35/2 is going to serve me well. I even like the flare, and handling is great.
