Period-correct hood for Summaron 35/3.5 E39 is ITDOO, a beautiful little thing with felt lining. I have three of them, one with a plastic bell. They fit the f/2.8 Summaron perfectly, of course. They are also marked for Summicron 50 usage, although I don't know if they can be reversed like IROOA.

Thanks for helping me.
Oh, I did not know it was going to be so interesting, hard, to get a hood.
But, wow, Leica/Leitz sure had a large number of hoods.
No wonder I got the wrong one first.
Well, time to look at bay and se if I can find myself a ITDOO

Actually, I have four ITDOO.
On the back rank, new version ITDOO is to the left and old version is to the right. The new version with wider chrome collar looks similar to IROOA, although they all perform identically. FYI, the middle hood (12504) can also serve, even though it normally pairs with a more-modern Summicron 35 ver3: the vented design reduces VF obstruction.

Thanks for the info.
Oh, well, I will go for a ITDOO, looks a lot more classic than the one in the middle.
