Anyone know what the correct hood for a Summaron 35 f/2.8 in LTM should be? Is it a FOOKH?
What about the front cap?

The FOOKH is an A36 slip-on for the older 35/3.5 without filter threads. It will not even begin to fit the later Summarons with an E39 filter thread.
Either the 12585 or 12585H slotted lens hoods should work quite well on you 35/2.8 Summaron. There is also the IROOA.

IROOA is the 'correct' hood from the right period but tends to be rather expensive.
12585 is just fine, and a bit cheaper. However, if pushed on fully it tends to obscure the f stops a bit. With practice this isn't a problem.
Great lens.

Thanks for the info! A couple more questions:
Is the 12538 the same as a 12585, just plastic vs. metal?
Is the ITDOO different from the IROOA?

Thanks folks! I'll look for a either a 12585 or IROOA in non-collectible condition.

Another question, if anyone knows: I just received my Summaron 35/2.8 LTM, and the chrome Leica push-on cap that came with it seems too deep. Without a filter on the lens, pushing the cap on all the way encounters the aperture ring. Was a different, shallower cap original to this lens?
