Have you seen anywhere a side by side comparison of the Konica Auto S, S2and S3? I read rave comments on the lens in the S2 and even more raving for the lens in the S3, but is there anywhere a report on the lenses in these cameras as used side by side?

I have read and heard the same thing. And based on my brief experience with a CLA'd Auto S3, the lens is good, no doubt about it, but it doesn't have the same special something that the little C35 has. As far as the usual attributes like sharpness and contrast, it's also not as good as Olympus 35SP or Minolta Hi-matic 7sII.

And, I'm still looking for an S2 below $10 🙂

A real time warp. My made in 1936 Summar arrived from Sherry and it's a jewel. Not a single scratch, swirl, blemish, etc. anywhere on it!!!! She is wonderful to deal with--100% honest.

'Got a hood off the LUG, so I can't wait to use it as soon as my Luna Pro comes back from a CLA.

Congratulations!

My 1938 Summar is shortly off to Sherry for the "golden touch". It really looks like it has not been used since 1939. It's gin clear, but there are one or two specs of brown dirt inside, and I'm not about to start playing with it myself - it is uncoated, but the glass is still soft and I don't want to add any swirls.
