Summicron 35 v4 weather sealed?

Hey, just picked up a used 'cron 35 v4. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this lens is weather sealed?

Hello,
Very nice lens, but definitely not weather sealed.
I don't know if there is weather sealed Leica M lens, out there.

Maybe a clear UVa filter may keep rain drops away for a while.
When I take pictures in rain, I use some sort of plastic bag to protect the gear, and wipe off drops, every couple of minutes.

nope. there are no Leica lenses that are weather "resistant" or "sealed" or whatever similar term may be used

Rainy weather is definitely where I'm pulling out the Olympus E-M1 outfit, but a Leica M outfit should do relatively well in somewhat light rain. The latest bodies, my M262 included, does have sealing, but nothing that protects the mount area and the lenses are definitely not sealed.

I'd hate to think how much more they'd have cost me if they were, LOL....

Plastic bag, tape, rubber bands, and clear filter are what you use.

Get water in an M body and it is toast.
