A 40 cron on a ZI must look tiny. Would like to see a pic of the lens on the camera if you can post one.

Hmmm, funny, but it doesn't look as small as I thought it would. Instead, it looks like it was made for the ZI! Even the white lettering matches nicely. And I'm sure it makes the ZI a much more unobtrusive or pocketable camera. Thanks for posting the pic triplefinger.

I agree! i think the zeiss lenses(i have the 25/35/50) all look a little oversized on the body. but they all do perform!

I think the 40mm Summicron/Rokkor is the best value in Leica M mount lenses. Good shot, (would be a killer without the white cup in front in the middle.)

I absolutely agree. I've got one of each. Got the Rokkor as a less expensive alternative to a 35 cron for my M6 and the cron came with my CL. And I've been reading comments lately about how close they match the look of the 35 pre-asph"bokeh king." Just unbeatable when you compare them pricewise.

Some good results there.

It is a great lens, I've always gotten good technical results from it but the FL just isn't for me. I want either longer or shorter, but 40 just doesn't work for me.

Yes, It's such a sweet lens. I love its compact size, which can fit any M-mount camera perfectly.

Considering that the 40 'cron does most of the work of $800 50 'crons and $1000 35 'crons . . . . I wouldn't even think about selling it. It's great on the CLE and not hard at all to get used to on an M4-P.
