Is still the one I got from Maitani about 2 years ago and that I sent over to wil van manen for an overall cla.
serial # 2347948
this is my special 35, the other are my beloved summaron 35 2.8 and a cron asph.
side note, last year new old camera in milan was selling the 2347947, always interesting to see such old lenses showing up with sequence serial numbers.

great to see that infinity lock v2 still gets used, I should never sold this lens (as many before) but it's wonderful to see the photography with it 🙂

I have seen 2167141 wich is v1 (with goggles). In my definition v1 accepts the OLLUX-shade. I have seen 2167173 wich is v2, also with goggles.

Mine is 2222048 - I am waiting for some very light grease from Japan to fix this one and will surely give it some use after wards.
I love the infinity lock version.

Erik, I think you are asking the wrong guy as I do not have a technique and actually I could only learn from you.
We are using the same scanner (epson v600) as i remember a thread were you were sharing your workflow.
In my case I just use the cheap plastic negative carrier.
Scan the full frame including the black borders and open it with adobe elements were I only adjust the level if necessary.
No more, no less...I am really not a tech person, sorry.
If you have a look at my flickr stream you will see my "work" is not as homogeneous as yours.

I would love to see your results from the 2222048. My 2221365 performs very weird at the larger apertures.

My 2060691 performs very well, completely different from the 2221365.

Erik, unfortunately my sample with infinity lock did not get out much (I mostly use my favorite 35mm, a 35/2 UC-Hexanon) - here is a few test shots wide open from a few years ago with the 35 Summilux infinity lock SN 2222048:

Thank you Erik for the compliment. What optical issue exactly do you see with your lens may I ask?

I have to comment that I did not draw any conclusions from my sample (I do like it very much and somehow prefer it a little over the regular later v2 sample I have).
I feel that the contrast is definitely different between the two (lower, more gentle contrast on the infinity lock version) but didn't commence formal scientific tests (I rarely do).

35mm pre-asph 'lux (Canadian) shot:

I no longer have the lens, I have owned two of them over the years. I now use a Summaron 2.8 for street work as I live in a very bright and sunny place and honestly, when stopped down, I like the Summaron as much as the lux. It's also only around a third of the price where I live!

I miss it for lower light sometimes though, might own it again someday.
