M9 with 35mm pre-asph lux
Wonderful dreamy shotM9 with 35mm pre-asph lux
All shot with a vintage 1969 35mm Summilux (with infinity lock for those of you interested in the lens version.) This lens has become my indispensable lens over my DR Summicron. It's just an awesome optic.

At all apertures, or just wide open? Mine seems very well behaved and works more or less like my old Summicrons at f2 and smaller stops. Wide open it is much more finicky.
Same here. I shoot my pre-ASPH most of the time at f2.0. I know enough when I can open the lens all the way. Any light source at an angle will produce flare. Sometimes it's beautiful and at other times can ruin the image.
I now use the next version of the Lux. Not the newest FLE version but the one prior. It renders out of focus areas very similar to the pre-ASPH which I really liked but works much better wide open than the pre-ASPH.
