Summitar 50/2 on RD-1s

Can the Summitar be collapsed on the R-D1 without damaging anything internally? The Epson manual warns against collapsing lenses in general, but only specifies the Hektor and Elmar in particular as ones not to collapse. Does anyone own both a Summitar and and Epson? Have they tried collapsing it?
