Just a question - can I safely collapse a summitar into my Rd-1, or is it better to use a spacer ? Thanks in advance ..

Hello, I can tell you tomorrow if you don't get a definitive answer from someone else by then.
I have a summitar and a 50mm Elmar-M (which CANNOT be collapsed into my R-D1s by about 2 to 3 millimeters). I will measure tonight the protrusion lengths for the Elmar-M and the Summitar and if the Summitar is 3 or more millimeters shorter when collapsed then it should be alright.
I suspect it'll be okay.

Hey Wouter,
i didn't know you had an R-D1. I LOVE mine!!
I can't wait to receive the Bessa II you sent (I know this isn't a 120 folder thread) & go out & shoot MF. I'll let you know when I get it

Wouter: I just got a Summitar recently and it does indeed collapse fully into my R-D1. The newest collapsible elmar, however, does not.

Hi, my summitar and - old - elmar and Industar 22 do collapse fine in my R-D1s.

Well, there's your answer, and good vibes all around.
Happy shooting (although I gotta say, I prefer something a little sharper than the summitar on my RD1 - lovely with film though...)
