Joe, congrats with the new lens :)

If it helps, I found Sonnar look most evident with subject at middle distances, circa 4-7 meters, and enough objects around to reflect transition from focal plane to OOF. The look is there and it is nice (and normally my point of view is closer to utilitarian one of AusDLK).
 
the weather has turned colder and i have the stomach flu.

no good thing cannot be rained upon!

i hope to get out tomorrow for at least a quick roll, maybe indoors at the farmer's market.
