I may not know much about art but I know the difference between abstraction and surrealism
Interesting discussion, with very blurry definitions provided by the work of the surrealists themselves. Hence why I entitled the thread 'Surrealist' rather than 'Surreal' photography. It's also interesting to look at the intersections between Surrealism and Dadaism, and even the borders with Futurism. It was a very fertile time.

... it's the interweb I know, and I've long since given up expecting intellectual rigour ... but as yet not stopped mentioned the odd misconception
