switched to Leica M3 and went unplugged –My first roll of film in 20 years

My M3 (SN slightly below 1,000,000) has a chrome film advance lever. His M3 shows a black lever.

It's a camera he borrowed from a friend. So we don't know its history....except that the shutter speeds are off. In the RFF M gallery there are more photos of newer cameras retrofitted w M2/3 style levers.
 
I remember when Galen Rowell went on a photo tour to the South Pole, he tried out the newly introduced Nikon AF camera and lenses. He concluded that the plastic parts worked better than the older mechanical metal cameras.
 
John, I thought the first video was just a bit of an empty film novelty... but I especially liked the video in post #3, which in essence said, find a camera that you like using....& use it....a lot. Cool
