You guys hurt my bank account.
But I think this time I will have to give it a miss. Pity. Sounds like a more organised meeting schedule.
My excuse is the 6 day old arrival in the picture.
Have fun. I'll ask the boss if I can come down but I'll be shocked if she says yes.
Maybe if I explain that we really need an M body to take good photos of the baby....🙂

Hi,
How often are these Fairs held and what are they like. Just bought a R3a and bank balance is shot and other things planned but might be good next time it's held.

Hi John - I think they're held quarterly. According to the advert in Photographic Trader, the next one is 22 October.
I attended one about a year ago - probably about 100m of tables loaded with all sorts of stuff!

Thanks, Chris. I'll keep that date open. While in town my wife can spend a corresponding amount on clothes. That's the way it normally works 🙂

I did well - after resolving not to buy any new cameras that I don't need. Picked up some 39mm filters for my "new" collapsible Summicron . I also managed to find a lens hood for the Sonnar 50/2 on my Contax IIa. These come up on ebay only infrequently - and often at silly prices. I manged to find TWO at the fair! All in all, a good market and I'm glad I went.

welcome! shame you didn't let us know ahead of time, Ben, Chris, myself, and my friend Glenn met up at the fair then had a quiet ale or two in a pub in Darling Harbour afterwards.

Last minute
I only heard about the fair on Friday - have only been to one before. I was pleasantly surprised. Also managed to get an old Russian turret viewfinder which I can use with the Color Skopar 28mm. Would have come to the pub but I had my seven year old son in tow, poor kid.
Next time, I hope.
