Bob, great idea! Would be good to catch up with you, too. I haven't been to Sacramento since '79. Don't fancy our chances though.
 
That's great Lynn and Pete. We can work out what suits best closer to the day. I'll probably have lunch with the people I used to work with but have nothing planned after that.

Hi everyone. I'm going to miss the upcoming camera market due to work commitments and I was wondering if people could do me a huge favour...

I'm after a clean Pentax-K 24/f2.8 and M 100/f2.8 and I was hoping people could keep an eye out?

If something pops up could you gab the contact details of the seller? I'll be back in Sydney in a week, pretty bummed to be missing the markets...

I should be along, with a friend who now lives down the coast. I'd like to visit Darling Harbour for lunch, and if we have time we want to see Manifesto at the Art Gallery of NSW. Not sure how that will fit in with everyone else, but looking forward to seeing you all there. Keep an eye open for a Zuiko 50/1.4 for me.

Hi Nick,

I have a Pentax-A 24/2.8 in nice condition that I bought years ago from Kim Coxon, on this forum. I paid $250 for it. I also have a Pentax-M 100/2.8 in average condition, a little internal dust. I paid $120 for that. Caps and filter on both. If you are interested in either of those I can take them to Sydney with me and get Peter or Lynn to give you an independent evaluation.
 
I'd love to be there too. One day I'll make sure I'm home when the Sydney camera market is on!

I vaguely remember it being held on dates other than July... is it an annual thing or more held more frequently?

There's a good chance you'll catch the next one on 30th Nov 2016 if you are heading down under at the end of the year. However, I don't think I can make that date. What a shame that I was so close... oh well...

I won't make 30th November either unfortunately. If only it was a week or two later. One day...
 
Benny and Jon, the Sydney market doesn't compare to the wonderful Tokyo fairs. It's more like a photography focused jumble sale, but nonetheless it's fun and it's all we've got. There's a more reknown camera market in Melbourne 2 or 3 times a year at Box Hill. I'm going down for my first time in September.
