Is the tabed version on the Summicron 50mm worth more than the untabed version? Saw one in a shop today and it was nice because the tab fits in with the feel of all the other lenses that use the tab. Just curious, really.

The "Tabbicron" (11819) trades for more than the previous version(s), but that's not all because of the tab. It has a newer optical formula, and according to some, is a better lens. Me, I'm happier with the preceding version, the 11817. But the Tabbicron does not fetch as much as the later version with built-in hood, though the two are optically the same.
