Please see http://www.rangefinderforum.com/rffgallery/index.php

1) the old gallery has been taken now.
2) new JPG file size is doubled to 400kb - JPG only
3) there is now extensive search capability by different types of lenses, cameras, or films
4) you must be logged in to see many of the new gallery menu options
5) BEFORE UPLOADING PICS, set up your lenses, cameras etc in the MY MENU
6) Explore each drop down menu!
7) You must enter info like camera, lens, film etc. You can add that info to your previously loaded pics from the old gallery.
until that info is loaded, the search can't find it.

My thanks to Jorge Torralba for engineering RFF's new software!

Have Fun!

Stephen

PS the old gallery without pics can still be found at http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/

Great. Learning.....I've found my previous Gallery photos in the by clicking from within the old Gallery link above, and then clicking on the Profile top right.....

A quick note. By default allow rating of your photos is turned on. You can edit your profile under user cp, scroll down and select yes or no to allow rating of your photos.

Also, you can create collections which are like albums. But unlike the old software, this one allows you to place a single photo in multiple collections without having to upload it again.

A heads up, lenses, and film types are in the database, digital cameras get added with exif data, and if you add a camera to a photograph, it will be added to the list of cameras you can build your database from. the list gets generated every 24 hours. I may change that schedule around.

Stephen, great job so far, but currently don't see

Hasselblad Xpan
Fuji Tx-1/Tx-2

It's there. Remember, the list get built once a day from what people enter I just manually kicked it off and it is available now.

This is a spectacular improvement... Kudos.

I am extremely embarrassed to admit I have no idea how to upload to the gallery nor was I clever enough to discover instructions in the FAQ or via the search function.

Will someone rescue me?

If you are logge din, click on gallery from the top menu then click on Upload Photos.

Impressive list but no Leicaflex?

Add a photo taken with a Leicaflex, edit the photo and type in the brand LEICA CAMERA AG the type in the model Leicaflex.

Save your changes. After midnight, Leicaflex will be available for all to add to their personal camera list.

Ah,

make sure your files are jpeg and the file size does not exceed what is listed at the bottom of the upload page.

The original file I tried to upload was 294KB. That hung.

When I reduced it to 249KB it would upload.

The 294KB should have also uploaded since is below the 0.390625 MB limit, but it will not.

How can I add lenses to the list since mine are not there?

Nice job guys ... updating is a PIA I'm sure. Right now I see no comment box in images so i may (we) May comment. yes I'm signed in while viewing.

I just logged in as a test user with no special privs and posted a comment on one of your photos. The comment window is at the bottom of the page below all comments.

yeap, i just uploaded it no problems. I did increase a mem parameter on the php side which may have heped.

Is there a similar way to add new lenses to the list? Right now it doesn't appear to be an option, i.e., when I tried editing an existing photo, I could only pull down the existing list of lenses. Same thing w/new films.

Add a photo taken with a Leicaflex, edit the photo and type in the brand LEICA CAMERA AG the type in the model Leicaflex.

Save your changes. After midnight, Leicaflex will be available for all to add to their personal camera list.
