Taken with ZM Sonnar 50mm

I like the lens a lot. Haven't tested it at F/1.5 yet. The pics are taken with Provia 100F. I love the richness of film. If I take the same shots with DSLR, the images will look too flat.

Second picture best for showing sharpness. I don't see why digital versions should be flat.

Some good looking colors there, I do hear you on the digital being too flat bit but then again today I got back 4 rolls of film from the lab and they scratched the living hell out of one roll which pisses me off enough to go digital so I never have to go back there again

Those pictures are nice and they do show the large amount of contrast that this lens produces. My question is why you would purchase this lens to take outdoor photos? You're paying for a lot of extra glass when you could get the same performance out of the Planar.

I own the lens and it does very well at 1.5, second only in my opinion the
50 Lux ASPH. I'm not trying to be confrontational, just trying to save you money............

I just happen to be outdoor, but I plan to take a lot of pictures indoor.

Even outdoor though, I do notice the 3D effect produced by this lens. It's actually the characteristic I am looking for rather than the overall sharpness. I have Rollei 40mm Sonnar as well. My most recent photos are taken with them.
