Anybody any experience taking a FED 35A apart? I have one but there is a shutter problem. It works erratically. Meaning it always fires but the speed is only about 50% of the time what I set.
I managed to get the bottom plate off but there is nothing to see there. Likewise for the front ring of the lens. As the letherette is is good condition I don't want to take it off unless absolutely needed.

I have a fed 35a with a rangefinder problem ,I will not bother to take the bottom off now .I cannot find any help whatsoever.did you find any help

I have taken the top off now to adjust the range finder ,very small and complicated not like the bigger ones,is there any screws under the front leatherette ,I used lighter fuel to free a stuck shutter ,keeping the camera upright so it does not get on the lens and make sure the battery is o.k
