So, about a month ago I acquired 300m (ca. 1000') of this film (the largest box) on a Russian auction site.

The film was manufactured in USSR on May 1990, which means it has expired around 1993. Originally intended for photocopy purposes, it has extended panchromatic sensibilization, very low sensitivity (about ISO 5), robust antialiation layer (green as you can see it sticking from IXMOOs), and spec resolution of 300 lp/mm at very high contrast.

The long storage, however, kills the emulsion contrast, helping to increase effective speed for pictorial (normal) photography purposes.

The emulsion is coated thin on triacetate base, making it sensitive to scratches. It has normal (non-cine) perforations, which helps maintaining proper frame spacing in my Leica (was the main problem with Polypan stuff).

So, I ran a quick test in Xtol stock, not expecting much. There is some base fog, but the negs are still printable. In the end I settled for 9 minutes in xtol 1+2 at 21C at EI12 to 20 with this film. The stuff is effectively grainless, whatever RMS is there it must be below my scanner's noise threshold.

Some examples at EI12:

Very good for studio shoots, where there is no shortage of lighting:
