I switched to TD-16 from Photographers Formulary a while back because, for whatever reason, my D76 gets too active after about 3 weeks and I cannot get consistent results after that point. I'm shooting 90% of my stuff in Tri-X in 35mm format. I've been using the TD-16 long enough to recommend it w/o exception. 3 months now, and my negs develop just like they did when I first mixed it up. They look a teeny, tiny bit different than D76 negs, but print exactly the same. Most people would say the negs look identical. The only issues I have run into is that I had to bump my development times from 7 1/2 minutes full strength at 68 degrees to 8 1/2 and sometimes 9 minutes. The other thing is, it is hard to get it all fully dissolved when I mix it up, so I pour my stock solution through a coffee filter into my gradient when I develop and it comes out nice and clean.
Here's a link to these guys (and gals) and a few shots I made yesterday in different lighting situations when I was checking exposures w/ my red filter. It's been real nice getting consistent results every time.
