The focus scale ? Or is it back/front focusing ? If so, which direction and by how much ?

It's the focus ring. When the scale shows infinity, the lens is focussed on a distance less than infinity. Back focus is OK and the focus coincides with the rangefinder.
It just needs the focus ring shifted slightly but can't see how to do it.
