Andy,
For me Fuji has been about three main things in the past
- Love the Fuji colors especially for people
- back to basics controls
- off/evf
Now w/ the improved evfs we c today..not so much the of anymore.
Shooting landscape or detail work..that's the foveon domain.

Hi Gary
For me it's about the lenses.
The Fuji has a really good background in Bayer processing. The S-series SLR's are still stand outs.
I like the X-trans a lot but... there is something very nice going on in the XA1.
The XA1 and XM1 are pretty cheap bodies otherwise. The LCD is great but the controls are not quite the direct links that Fuji otherwise offers.

I ended up going with the XA over the XM. Having an XP, the XM was yet another X-Trans body while the XA was unique -like an original X100 but with an interchangeable mount. This gave me the ability to try all of my native Fuji glass on two native Fuji bodies, but with different sensors.

what?
I forgot that I did this some time back.
Here is a completely unscientific comparison of pictures from the X100, XE1 and XA1. When the dust settled, I decided that the XA1 pictures had the nicest (IMO) look and feel. Read my final boxed comments.

I know, I thought about the rate - that's a bummer right now. Although as I am heading to TO Saturday, I don't mind. 😉thanks earl! look good & good prices as well...would be wonderful if the exchange rate was a little better...

someone on another forum just offered me an xa1 with leather case for 200 usd…but it's brown…not my favourite colour...

Brown body or the case is brown? I think the brown body is really nice from the pictures I've seen. If I had a spare $200 after the XPro acquisition, preceded by the purchase of an iPhone 6s 128GB and $1200USD of dental work for my dog, and paying off a lawn tractor, I would be interested.

You know that 16mm might go very nicely with a large articulating screen.
It's a big lens but with a grip the X/A/M//16mm might be a really kick aass set up.
Add a shoe mount CV 25mm finder and away you go!.

initial plan is to pair it with the 27...small, discreet street set up...looking forward to using the tilt screen.
but i imagine that i'll try each lens on it too...maybe the 23 would be really good for street as well...

actually thinking about it a bit more...
xm1 with 23
xe1 with 56
xe2 with 16
...might be a killer kit!

or maybe sell the xe1 and 27 and put that towards another xe2...

The xm1 w/ 27 looks more like a p&s. The 23 is pretty big in comparison.. Btw..I thought u had the eos m for your everyday carry.. Did u sell it?
