While I don't get the same type of winter as you, I recently purchased a X-T1 and 35mm f/2 due to them being WR... should be a cool snowy day set-up.

i've never had a winterized or wr piece of gear up here in blizzardland and never had a problem with gear...small towels, gear inside coats, plastic bags...does it for me.
Me neither, but since I wanted this combo anyway, it should make me feel even better when i out and about in poor weather. Though I don't want it in my coat or a plastic bag...
