I finally got the site this morning after trying several times yesterday aftrnoon. BUT waiting for it to come up, or choosing a particular thread, takes long enough to rival molasses in January.
I'm not very sophisticated regarding computer operation, but I switched from dial-up to DSL some months ago. My experience is that some things are much faster with DSL, while others don't seem any faster than before. It seems to depend on the particular website.
Someone else can answer this better than I - how much do ISPs play in the matter? I've read in various places that the ISP (or Google) knows every site you connect to. George Orwell of 1984 fame may have been right about Big Brother watching us.
