Test shutter speed?

I’ve got a Canon 7 coming from Japan. Is there a way to test the shutter speeds?

Look up Rick Oleson's page using a CRT TV screen (or CRT monitor) to test the faster speeds on a focal plane shutter. I used this method on my Canon 7

Both curtains run on the same set of springs. If the shutter caps, the friction (and the lubrication) on both shutter blinds is out of balance. Which can only be restored with proper service. Never raise the tension on the spring, this will either damage the spring, shutter blinds or break the yarn and ribbons.

Go to ebay and look up the user name "vfmoto" -- he sells different varieties of shutter testers. I got the VM30 version.
