Hello - I don’t know if there’s been a Texas thread here before, but seeing as the clouds are over us now, I was wondering if any of you live here.... I’m not exactly sure as how to shoot a Hurricane, or anything. I have friends who evacuated Rockport recently and didn’t know if anyone else on the forum had, or stayed behind, and had pictures to show.... I need to go to sleep and have work tomorrow (in Austin) ... if I had to be shooting newish I’d use a bessa-L with a 15mm lens. Godspeed

Good luck and hang in there. That sounds like a great lens for some dramatic storm reportage.
Also, got the Pavement reference! One of my all-time favorite rock and roll numbers.

I think the biggest problem, aside from high wind and its danger, is the amount of rain falling might obscure some of the subject matter. Then you have to be able to shoot from a sheltered area to keep the equipment dry.
Hope you stay safe. I have family who might still be down there.

Southeast Texas here.
They are telling us we will be getting a lot of rain over the next week. I hope it won't be "dramatic storm coverage."
We are planning a run to the beach for "golden hour" pictures next month.
