the 40mm hard-to-find hood for the Canon LTM Lens

(50/f1.8, 50/f1.5, 50/f1.9) is no longer that hard to find.

while browsing ebay for the Marumi 40mm filter, i came

across several Hoods + filter combo for under 20 dollars.

Seems like the Fuji X10 shares the similar thin thread 40mm

filter mount.

Has anyone tried the Ebay lens hood for Fuji X-10 on their Canon lens yet?
I understand the filter thread diameter is the same 40mm, but is the thread pitch the same (0.50mm or 0.75mm)?

It doesn't share the same pitch though. I tried screwing my X10 one on, and it doesn't work.

I picked up cheap Chinese vented lens hood:

"Silver Metal Adapter Ring + Lens Hood for Fujifilm Fuji X10 replace LH-X10"

Fits fine on my Canon 35mm f/2.8 and the 50mm f/1.8 (chrome).

The hood looks wide enough for the 35mm, but not sure if the mounting circle may cause vignetting ... will see when I get the roll developed.

Hmm. And I was going to say that the cheap chinese ones don't always fit the Fuji all that well. Tight/rough fit.
Looks like some HAVE had luck using them on the canon RF's though, maybe they fit that thread better?

Mine's a Canon 50mm f1.5 LTM. You can probably squeeze in 1.5 rounds and it'll not go any further. Not sure which is which - a 0.5 or a 0.75 pitch?
