That Nikkormat FTn.

A Nikkormat Ftn was my first SLR ( After Nikon Rangefinder cameras ) in 1972, I still have and use it ( sans meter ) as a second body to my plain prism F2.

I have a Nikkormat that I bought when I was in the U.S. Navy. As I recall, It was time spent in Japan that I bought the body and one lens. As I built up enough funds, I bought several other Nikkor lenses.

Will have to upload some photos I took way back then.

Have a great spring! We didn't have much of a winter here in Minnesota. Supposed to be 80 degrees Sunday. Up here we like to talk about weather as it's usually always changing!

Thanks to Erik this has become my favorite RFF thread.

I also dusted off my Nikomat FT-N and took it out shooting today... with a 50 f2 of course.

FTn duo.
I got the Nikomat From the original owner. He bought it at a Base exchange in Japan. I also have the matching 50 1.4 both marked with EP stamp.

Erik, I really love your B&W work! Are you published somewhere (online or in print)? Thanks for sharing your pics here. --Warren

I just ran a roll through my one and only chrome FTn. Bought it to teach my son about film photography but I've been enjoying it. Now he's interested in shooting it so it should be really fun to share it with him :)
