To infinity and beyond!
Put a bid in on a Petri 7s today. Seems that all the cameras I was interested in at reasonable prices have ridiculous shipping charges! I imagine they're trying to make up their money in $25 shipping charges. I'm really hunting for a Petri Racer in working condition, I know I can find one around the $25 dollar range, it just takes time.

Lame. I was hoping it was one of the usual sticky shutter/wild meter issues. I've never heard of the film advance weirdness you are experiencing. Such a shame, as the 17 is a great little camera.
I still deciding whether I want to try and get it fixed or not. Number 1 priority right now is dealing with the screwed up Hasselblad lens that came from the same guy....

Here is my evidence:
Braun Super Paxette: £16.00 + £5.95 p&p = $33.17 today
Olympus Trip, flash, bag, skylight filter, close up filter and instruction books: £12.53 + £7.00 p&P = $29.52 today.
Just waiting to get my negs back...

Well I was out bid on the Petri 7s, don't want to pay more than my bid, so I'm looking again.
Gonna find something for sure!

OK, I've got two contenders in-hand - I don't know if that's allowed, but both were under the $40 limit. First is a Voigtlander Vito I, and second is a Standard Rollieflex 621. Both needed some attention, but are fully functional. Once I get some film in them and developed, I'll posted pics in the other thread.

Just realised that, at £22, one of my ECRs qualifies. Just completed the test roll in that one.

I'm using a half frame. It's taking me forever to shoot 50 shots.

I've just bagged three Exa SLRs for less than £11. With postage, they come to £25.46. Google tells me that is $40.58. I guess that means they all qualify individually, and almost collectively!

I just ran my first roll through a Voigtlander VF 35 F that I picked up for £3, sadly I found it after the thread started, but it's fun seeing everyone scrabble for bargains

Are we going to see the results, BlackXList?
btw, I've picked up another $40 challenger - an Olympus XA (at last!).

Sure, I'm taking a few rolls to be developed tomorrow, so if there's anything worth looking at I'll post it up.
The Experience did remind me that I'm so not used to RF shooting, so that might be a big IF

Here's a couple of the shots from the Voigtlander, nothing special, just the test roll:

Mine is not gear, but film. Here it is
2000ft roll Kodak 5234, it is duplicating film, but can use in camera with a little low contrast. I don't contact print, so it is fine. Here is comparison with Double X.
