I'm thinking.

I have a Canon EF and 50/1.4 S.S.C. lens. I have several other lenses also. I could load the camera with Arista Premium 400 and pass it around to my friends here in Houston. We can contribute photos to the project without the need to send the camera and lens to this part of Texas, USA. Would that be OK?

The idea would be the pass the camera around ; The camera will visit the USA for sure - have already some confirmations from photographers from there.

So it wont be a problem to go from San Francisco to Texas and so on. The problem or the most difficult part will be entering the USA. After its in, should be a breeze.

The critical point is the change of continents.

If you stand responsible for your friends ( and the further located the better ! ) , the camera can travel to them.

So where for example each people would be entitled to have the camera for up to 7 to 10 days, you will be entitled to have the camera for one month ( since you have 2 friends , hence 7-10 days x 3 people ) .
 
Yep, love these camera travels. Count me in if there's still a place. But beware, I collect old, black Canon FD cameras and the T70 is not yet in my cupboard, so.... 😉

I'm in, but probably my location is well covered already.

If tossing within SF Bay Area is OK (or send out), I'd love to do it. I can develop and scan same day I shoot and pass it to the next person.

Qualification: Everyday Leica M user, never owned or used Canon SLR, but used to film SLR photography.

Peeps, the more the merrier.

So far, after a few hours this project started, I'm overwhelmed with the participation.

Bit of an update ( will also post in the first post ) :

So far 10 countries, 22 photographers and 1 camera !!!

That means 19.200 miles of traveling or 32.000 kms, depending on which side of the pond you live !

Had fun today doing this ( but had few people after joining in , will make a final map )

Once I finish with the entries ( should be soon at this rate ... ) I will organize by country and then by proximity of each country.

Starting point will be always Portugal and then move to Europe until all Europeans are done and then if then move it to the USA and start again.

Well seems that in less than 24 hours that when I first posted this project, things are pretty much decided ;

So far I have around 30 photographers and the camera will travel to :

Portugal
Spain
England
Germany
Switzerland
Austria
Italy
USA ( 9 states )
Japan
Australia
Brazil
Argentina

Seems that the old lady is getting a good tour around the world.
 
I'm in from Wild, Wonderful West Virginia!

Should be a blast from the past too, as the T70 was my first real camera. Of course I couldn't afford the 1.4 lens, so I made do with the classic 1.8. Hope I get it during the green months.
 
Where are all the US west coasters? Time difference maybe?

Lucky for me I'm snowed in and I worked at home today.
Well... maybe not sot lucky with shoveling 🙁
