I was waiting for the 27mm pancake, and when it arrived I was likely going to buy the X-E1 (I already have the XPro1 with the 18, 35, and 60). But then the X100s was announced. That sealed my decision... The X100s with its 23/2 rather than the XE1 with the 27. The X100s does everything the XE1/27 kit does, and IMO does it better (more compact, faster lens, faster focus, and VF choice). 🙂

When you look at the photos taken with ultra wides you have this weird feeling of being "inside of the frame". It's hard to explain. I should definitely put 14mm on the list of lens to buy. Thanks a lot for you shots!

Hi back alley,
Just a useability question on the 14mm / X-Pro1 combi.
Can you use the OVF properly? or are the margins to 100% view to big so you would always need to use the EVF?
