I was waiting for the 27mm pancake, and when it arrived I was likely going to buy the X-E1 (I already have the XPro1 with the 18, 35, and 60). But then the X100s was announced. That sealed my decision... The X100s with its 23/2 rather than the XE1 with the 27. The X100s does everything the XE1/27 kit does, and IMO does it better (more compact, faster lens, faster focus, and VF choice).

When you look at the photos taken with ultra wides you have this weird feeling of being "inside of the frame". It's hard to explain. I should definitely put 14mm on the list of lens to buy. Thanks a lot for you shots!

Hi back alley,
Just a useability question on the 14mm / X-Pro1 combi.
Can you use the OVF properly? or are the margins to 100% view to big so you would always need to use the EVF?
