Other outstanding Nikkor manual focus lenses that haven't been mentioned are:
Zoom-Nikkor 80~200 2.8 ED AIS.
Very big and heavy, it looks like the f4 version on steroids, takes 95mm (!!!) filters, but is wonderfully sharp, even wide open. Tough to find as only about 1,600 were produced back in about 1982. I consider myself very lucky to have found mine.
300 2.8 IF-ED AIS.
Sharp as a tack, even wide open. Used with the outstanding TC-14b, it becomes a wonderful 420mm f4 with literally no loss of image quality.
Mine is an old beater that belonged to a news service and looks like it was used to hammer nails, but it works like a champ.
