I ain't even mad - it's pretty subtle so it's not a deal breaker, especially if I could get it a couple of hundred cheaper than a mint one!

If you like brass then check this link. It's a Soviet copy worth £20, this seller sure has a over active imagination.

One thing's for sure: his auction listing has gotten plenty of views!
but in the same vain (yes that's on purpose) that people buy distressed denim to pretend they work in their jeans...
I don't think that is why people buy those jeans.

Oh I'm sure there's plenty of reasons, one of which is the "$1500 Japanese selvedge denim railyard worker look" that's super popular here in Toronto (and I'm sure elsewhere) at the moment.

The auction ended yesterday, and now this listing appears in the UK. I await possible explanations with interest.

Shooter of Film...
I thought it sold for $6,109...what did the seller buy his own camera back because it didn't sell for a crazy "Pre-worn" price...???

Ha ha, perhaps the people that buy cameras such as this one to illustrate they are a hard-shooting photographer would be better of with one of those dummy window models, that are just the exterior shell of a camera without any insides..
It's true what David Hurn said - people have all sorts of motivation for being attracted to photography, for some it is the lifestyle, for others the cameras, and then there's those who actually got into photography for the pictures
