I picked up an issue of this wonderful magazine a few months ago. Has anyone seen this magazine in the US? Is it still in print?
Thanks,
Brad

Is this the magazine?
This may not be the magazine you are talking about. However, this magazine is on the racks at Barnes & Noble. I browsed a copy recently and came to the conclusion that all of our fretting over sharpness, resolution and OOF rendering is moot.

Great magazine. I subscribe and look forward to every issue. They feature some great work both comtemporary and historical. There's also a Black and White Photography Magazine published in the UK.

A quick GOOGLE turned this up:
The link posted doesn't work for me. Doesn't work as in I'm redirected somewhere else. A sure sign the URL is dead.

A magazine called The Black and White Enthusiast has been in publication for 6 years and just relaunched as Silvershotz. It contains in depth articles on black and white printing, alternative printing and black and white digital printing. Nice folios from photographers around the world. Check out all their back issues and collectors set on www.blackandwhitemag.com

What's in a name?
What's in a name?
"Silvershotz"?
No matter how good it may be, I could never get past that name...

Wouldn't be my first choice for a name, either. But I'm heading out to pick up a copy now...a tiny B'day present to myself.ChrisPlatt said:"Silvershotz"?

Nuts...the local B&N didn't have it. But they did have Camera Arts, which I haven't read in a while, so that's what I got.

My Hastings has a lot of photography magazines, a surprising number of which are dedicated to film I thought. Planning on subscribing to B&W and Silvershotz, and also Outdoor Photographer (lot of slide film photos in that) and Photolife, eventually.

How does that Silvershotz subscription work? On the webpage it says "Your subscription is for volume 3, Editions 3 to 8" but editions 3-7 are already published. Do I get five issues in a thick envelope and edition 8 once it is published or what?

I can thoroughly recommend Silvershotz as I have been buying it for the last 3 yrs and it seems to be going from strength to strength. Yes, Black and White Enthusiast seemed to be the better name for the mag. however nothing stays the same.
There are articles on various photographers, countries, equipment and most interestingly many well written articles on alternative processes of B&W eg Platinum Bromoil etc etc. Very little advertising, fabulous photos printed on good stock.
I think the word 'art' gets brandished around too much these days but the statement on the front cover of this mag ' Where Art Embraces Photography' seems to be appropriate in this case.
