To all those folks who don't want or need critiques of their photos: simply don't participate. What's the problem? Why complain about something you don't have to do? I really don't get it. What am I missing here?
If there was another RFF initiative, like say a print exchange, would you start thread bashing the idea and explaining how you don't need to exchange prints with others?
Aren't you just being negative and "raining on other people's parade"?
In that respect, I had thought about writing a "how to look at pictures" thread ... how to see composition, abstraction and tone in the formal way, and maybe some of the tricks we use make it easier to see them ... a glossary of the normal terms used in the area, conventions and the like ...
... but I'm worried about how it would be received, I don't wan't to come across as condescending (wrong word but you know what I mean)
