The doctor's office

At my age the trips to the doctor are not the sort of thing one wants to photographically share with the world. Although my last two memorable trips to the doctor did involve cameras, unfortunately both times the cameras were being stuffed inside of me.

These experiences are enhanced by the fact that I’m an American living in Japan. While I do speak a bit of the local lingo, nothing prepares one for the kind of conversations involved in procedures that end in “oscopy”.

Blanche Dubois: I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.

That sums up my hospital experiences in Japan. That and my dear sweet wife holding her big baby’s hand through his [my] medical experiences in the doctors offices - here in the land of the rising Sun.

All the best,
Mike

nice images, I have just retired after 35 years in the health service, Charge Nurse, trauma theatres, I used to take a lot of photos of the staff, (with permission), never patients my professional code of conduct coupled with the various privacy and dignity laws would not allow.

Some of the staff I used to work with, nurse, reg and consultant.
