Only two? 😎

As you can see, I do some travelling in my old Miata, and space is at a premium when two of us pack for a four day trip. I generally take one body and two lenses, and use colour negative film that can be converted to B&W.

Always a 28mm and either the 85/1.4D or the 105/2.8D. I use the same combo with all cameras that I travel with (Zuiko 28/2 and 85/2, or Pentax 28/2 and 85/1.4, or CV 28/2 and Summarit 90/2.5. Even the equivalent 45mm and 120mm with the Pentax 645n.) Most of the shots will be landscapes and will need the 28mm, and a short tele lets me do the occasional headshot or focus on further scenery. I wouldn't begin to suggest it would be right for everyone, but it makes a satisfactory compromise for me.

You shooting the old AIS 28 f2.8 or are you one of the lucky few with a 28mm f1.4 AF-D?

I think I've sold all my manual lenses with the FM3a's. I have both the 28/2.8 AF-D and the 28/1.4 AF-D. The latter was costly, even used, and it was hard to find the right lenshood, but worth the price and the effort. I've been quite happy with all the 'D' lenses, and the 28/2.8D is fine too. It's just that you can do things with the 1.4 that can't be done with the 2.8.

Get a F6.
You will not be disappointed. It is an outstanding camera! I love using mine!
But don't sell your F100! Prices are too low. You get more value in continuing using it!
And it is a perfect addition / back-up / companion to the F6.
For example use the F6 for shooting slides, and on parallel use the F100 for the BW shots on the same location.

Anybody on this thread tell me what setting I have in place or not that might account for all of "chrism's" and "Huss's" pics not showing? When I click on the question mark in the graphic, I get sent to Flickr and a black page. TIA
