My friend just got his Nikon Ved and asked about the film strip holder for it, does anyone know where can buy nowadays, it seems been discontinued for long time.

He might try calling KEH (770) 333-4200 to see if they have any in stock.

Even before the VED and 5000ED scanners (two models that both use that holder) were discontinued, the FH-3 was consistently out of stock. When I bought mine, I just got lucky one day when it appeared as in stock on Adorama's web site and I immediately bought it. Now that these scanners have been discontinued, I recommend checking Keh's website to wait for one to show up and then jumping on it. Otherwise, your friend could always buy an exorbitantly priced one from ebay.

I wish I could remember the name, but there is a company that sells adjustable height film holders for Epson. They might also sell after-market for Nikon. Hopefully somebody who remembers the name will jump in and post a link, or at least give the company name.
