Pulled an old lens out of the closet last night...haven't used this lens in decades...I bought it brand new in the early 80's for my Pentax MX...Vivitar Series 1 35-85mm f2.8 lens...
I'm liking what I'm seeing...
These were all shot at Lola restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida. I would eat at the bar most nights. Use my ricoh GR to shoot through the glass of water and ice that was always there. The colors from light behind the bar diffused through the ice, water, and glass. Auto abstracts. Once I discovered this light and color play I did a ton of these. I'd have a glass of malbec or pinot with dinner and then go out and shoot at the pool.
Yes, 2020 - the year when all the old rules didn't apply anymore! Time to start thinking about shooting again, if only to stop Helen gently nudging me to do so!
