"The Fisher Farm" on Reid Reviews

Even if you have no interest in equipment tests, there's a new reason to sign up for Reid Reviews. He's just posted a photo series shot by his daughter of a local dairy farm titled "The Fisher Farm" and it's lovely.

I wish my photos looked nearly as good - and the fact that they come from a 10 year old is like rubbing salt in the wound 😀

I hope Sean does more of these types of articles. To tell you the truth, I grow weary of reading more camera/lens review, which just stirs up the gas and distracts me from just shooting!! :bang: 😀

My 2nd daughter, who is 8, has taken an interest in photography and takes some pretty interesting photos. I've been resisting the temptation to teach her some "basic rules" but I'm not sure about the best way to introduce concepts, and I don't want to give her any preconceived ideas that would limit her creativity...

If any of you have experience teaching photography, I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on the subject.

Not only lovely, I mean really full of humanity. Well, this may be quite controversial but I guess we, non-Americans, the rest of the world in fact, maybe need this kind of work to see the States differently. For instance, a farmer from Cambodia, a peasant from Malawi, Portugal or Uruguay can deeply understand and share what is going on at "The Fisher Farm". Photography in action, great, powerful and so sincere.

I can understand that. You really have to scratch beneath the surface to see what's worthwhile here, and she's certainly done that.

With a Canon G2, no less. 😱

It would be nice to be able to see the pictures without having to pay a fee for the privilege. If I were interested in comparing lenses I would pay the $$$ for the reviews, I have no problem with that. But I think Mr. Reid should place this page with his kid's pix in a non-restricted area of his site so that more people can view them and see what this kid has to say.

I would just like to add that I think the pix and story are amazing for a photographer of any age. I hope to see more work from Chey as she completes other projects!
