my Cron Collapsible has considerable flair, but I've never had a problem with flare so far - the standard Heavystar hood has worked well for me so far...

Paul T., my collapsible Summicron too has oodles of flair -- specially with its SOOFM hood mounted.

There is "flair" and then there is "flare". The Summicron lenses have a flair of luxury and classiness and high performance, and they usually have a strong resistance to flare.
