So what camera in your view has replaced the Hasselblad as the workhorse of the pros?

This is kinda cruel ... I still don't have a lens for for my 500CM body yet and you guys are really rubbing my nose in it! :p

Great posts everybody!

I made myself a promise to shoot the Hasselblad with only the 80mm.
But after all these posts i am tempted -------- 50/4 and 150/4 are calling ;)

Yeah, you need them! I shoot my 50 the most, because I do a lot of interiors of 'architectural subjects' (abandoned farmhouses). I really want a 40, cause the 50 isn't wide enough sometimes, but the 40 is much expensive! Like $2000!

I use the 80 a lot too, the 150 much less often, but its awesome for portraits and occasionally for picking out architectural details on outdoor shots of my old buildings. I really like the Vivitar teleconverter I have too. Got it for $40 on ebay!

I love Instant Photography.......

I love Instant Photography.......

I bought a few extra Model 100 and NPC Instant Backs (to work with different emulsions and camera configurations).

Fuji400 B&W just arrived from Japan, from Dirk at Megaperls.
Also have 3000Speedy, and 100B&W & 100Color.

I am set!

@Christopher

Thanks for the expensive advise;)

I like your work very much!
Unfortnately over here in the Netherlands abandoned places are either non-approachable because of fences, barbed wire, guards and dogs. Or do not last very long because they put the buildings down to replace them.

Here are two shots with my 501C and Planar 80.
I have some difficulties with critical focussing with the Hassy (maybe a screen problem?) which I find much easier with my Rolleiflex 2.8F. Otherwise, great camera.

Are you using the WLF? That has the highest magnification of the various finders... Make sure you have the Acute Matte D screen (which you should, going by the model number).

Yes, it's the WLF, and it should be an Accute Matte as you say. It should be recognized by two small marks on one side, I've heard, and it has 2 marks indeed, on the center by one side, but no any other indication (should it read "Hasselblad" somewhere?)

Maybe I should get a split-image kind of screen.
Or would a prism finder help?

Great work, everyone! Some of the best stuff Ive seen posted here at RFF :)
