Some great pics posted but I REALLY like these. Something special about the colour and composition that really grabs me.

I love the Hassy! One of the best cameras ever. I got mine less than a year ago and immediately knew it will occupy a permanent place in my gear dcollection. Will never do without it.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will leave it for the moment. It only happens when the light is low, and I can compensate with DOF.

One other thing that might work well... Get a prism finder, and get a magnifier for it. You should get 6x magnification that way. The magnifier flips out of the way when not needed. But the camera will be getting bulkier and heavier (not to mention more expensive) going this route.

My transition-model 500 C/M is easily my favorite camera. Here are a couple of shots...
Nice images! What's a transition model 500c/m? Whats different between it and a regular 500c/m?

Thanks Chris!
The difference is only cosmetic - the transition models have all the functionality of the full C/M model, which amounts to having interchangeable focusing screens. A number of these were built before the accessory railing plates that said "500 C/M" were widely available. They were sold as "500 C" cameras. Mine dates to 1972.

Todd,
Both were taken with the 80mm Planar and 21mm Extension ring - a favorite combo.
Thanks for the nice comment!

monochromejrnl,
spectacular, 1962 huh, been looking at a "seasoned" model like yours but was told to stay away from the older SWC's. Your performs very well it seems

thanks Todd, the one I have is a non T* biogon and it has a reputation for being more flare prone than the modern coated versions.. I have not found this to be a problem for me. I bought an aftermarket metal hood on eb*y and I rarely use filters. Contrast and colour rendition is excellent. Having said that I haven't had the pleasure of using a modern SWC to compare against mine but I'm not fussed. The older ones are much, more affordable. I got mine a few years ago (it has been modified with a hacksaw to make it polaroid compatible ;P) for a very reasonable $1500CAD.
Get one, you won't regret it. It's a very versatile camera once you experiment with it.
Below is a shot that exhibits some flare and another used close-up.

Heres another new scan:kids on the street selling me tissues which I have no use for. Instead, I asked them to pose for me and bought them each a Turkish Ice-cream from Konah. Very fair trade... 20LIRA!
