Plan B, buy a Summicron 40/2, file the lens mount to take the 35mm framelines and you hav a perfct match it seems. My 40 fits the 35mm framelines spot on, strangest experience taking a photo that fit the framelines.

It will be fine at infinity - but the framelines will be too narrow close up....

The framelines are terrible and after almost 2 years of use i am still highly uncomfortable with them. Besides the lack of accuracy ..... the coupling of 50/75 framelines makes both focal lengths a pita to use ...
More accuracy and SINGLE framelines (like R-D1) would be realy worthy "upgrades" for me .... much more than the new shutter and saphire LCD.

Yes, under 1m the framelines "crop". At infinity, they're poifect.
Gosh, why can't the M8 just be an SLR?

In the M9 the frame lines will be projected from an LCD, and will vary automatically with the focus distance.
At least I hope so.
