In Frank's defense, he knows his $h!#. He isn't some hipster who has little understanding of what he is doing. If you actually look at his work, you get this and can appreciate it. His photographs are interesting and take a lot of thought.
As for Kirk's work. It's so boring I couldn't make it through his site if I tried.
...that being said, much of what he said is pretty funny and I enjoyed the read, minus the last part of #5, which I posted a comment to at the bottom. I considered challenging him to digitally print one of my 35mm negatives and compare it to my fiber print, but I realized that the results would end up on a computer screen anyway.

Funny stuff. Especially in venues like Flickr, almost all of this is true. But both fortunately and unfortunately, having people like your photographs and making a quality photograph are quite different things.

I read it four times. Not because the points made were that funny, but because I'm guilty on all counts.
It's karma for all the things I've been saying about soccer moms turned professional photographers. There is a list for them out there somewhere.

That is funny.
#2 is a direct jab at Zack Arias tutorial videos, I think.
My wife watches those.

That is a great bit.Reminds me of one of my favorite Family Guy quotes, by Stewie:
"Oh, that is so lame!
Every hot girl who can aim a camera thinks she's a photographer.
Oooh, you took a black and white picture of a lawn chair and its shadow
and developed it at Save-On. You must be so brooding and deep."
His work may not grab many here (me included), but I like his attitude. He is about enjoying your work, having fun. I like that he changes his mind all the time about his favorite camera. He freely admits that his favorite is his current favorite and it will probably change. He we occasionally grab and older camera out of a drawer and go have fun with it.
