24-90mm range for the zoom lens makes it seem credible.

I don't think it really looks that similar to the Sony cameras. It looks much cleaner and considerably bigger.Leica sticker on a sony ?
Actually it does have a few cleaner lines but still,.. Looks very a7-esq.
I think Leica needed one of these in its boutique shops. It will sell well there to vacation photographers who like labels and don't know much about cameras. The M, X, and Q are a hard sell to those types and the zoom P&S models just aren't cutting it due to the lack of luxuriousness (i.e. rebadged).
