THE MAGIC ROLL
One theme ! One picture ! One prize !
Rules are simple :
Let’s make this place a pleasant lounge bar where we can share our passion for photography around a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a pint of beer (lagger or stout, your call).
Have a good time!
One theme ! One picture ! One prize !
Rules are simple :
- You submit your picture on the monthly theme in this thread; you can post only one picture per month, in color or B&W, and it has to be taken with a RF exclusively.
- The size of the picture should not exceed 800 x 800 max, but should not be smaller than 600 x 400 either. (So 800 x 600 is possible, as well as 600 x 500 etc. but not 400 x 400 or 800 x 1200 etc.)
- A link to a high quality picture is to be added. 1024 x 1024 is appropriate.
- Please do not forget to specify the camera/lens/film you used.
- You can submit your picture from the 1st to 25th of each month.
- From the 25th to the 30th of the month, you can vote for the picture of your choice.
- The winner wins a fantastic prize: A MAGIC ROLL OF FILM!!! What a beautiful prize, mon ami! It’s really extraordinaire, isn’t it?
- The winner is expected to post some pictures taken on his magic roll.

Love the concept-- it's packed with image-centric fun! And you're even letting the MF'ers join in the 'reindeer games.'

Hmm...most interesting!
As long as it's an RF, no points deducted for a Fed, R-D1, M8, Holga fisheye, etc.? Just as long it's an RF?
Like, totally gelée (cool)

Correct Gabriel. Shoot with any camera you want provided it's a RF, even a digital RF ... like an M8 or something

For the record Gabriel, a Holga isn't a rangefinder. Not trying to be an ass here or anything....just doing my part to keep things clear.

You need to upload the larger image to any web space you have.
Then link from RFF to your URL where the image is located.

Jon - Thanks for your help, I realized that I need to figure out how I want to do that within my gallery, and also that this may not be the best time for me to enter this as I will be away from next week until after the new year.
I will enter next time.

Oh come on guys, post some picture!
(Dan, that 's a lovely picture of a beauty, but DSLR pictures are not allowed in this contest. I appreciate your honesty btw, not sure everybody would tell).

Marc, blw has raised the issue of 'scale focus' cameras like folders and holgas not being rangefinders. Are shots from these cameras okay with you?

Hello Jan,
Even if I had to specify some rules sto start this project, I would like it to be a collective project, so I'm open to any suggestion. Do you think we should accept 'scale focus' cameras?
My personal opinion is that we should have a "contest"/"salon" only for RF cameras. Plus, a lot of folders have a RF ...
But let me know your opinion.
